Happy Thanksgiving American Friends! MoFo Day 25

Even though Thanksgiving in Canada has already passed, I still like to celebrate. I don’t need an excuse to make a good hearty meal , but joining in on festivities is always fun! You won’t get to see my goodies until Sunday since we are having dinner on Saturday night but I will tell you all about it! Since I am just cooking for myself, it’s not a huge spread but there will be enough to share. Omni’s seem to love my food, which is a good  freaking great thing. So here you go, something to look forward to in my Sunday post, delicious food porn (and of course, some recipes too!)

Main Course
  • Seitan Turkey Roast
Side Dishes
  • Mashed Rutabaga
  • Roasted Baby Spaghetti Squash
  • Butternut Squash & Pecan Stuffing
  • Carmelized Onion Gravy
Dessert
  • Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Squares
  • Coconut Macaroon Muffins
Well, there you have it. That is what I will be making for myself. I am really looking forward to it as this will be my first ever Thanksgiving dinner where I have cooked a whole meal for myself. Other years I have made do with having just side dishes that my mom made sure I could have; corn, my own stuffing, mashed potatoes sans butter/milk and maybe some yams. I cannot get over the fact that I just made seitan for the first time…it surely will not be the last! Bye for now 😉
